Tbilisi demands unconditional release of detained Georgian teenagers

Tbilisi demands unconditional release of the four Georgian teenagers detained by representatives of the South Ossetian marionette regime. The Georgian side calls on the international organizations for an adequate response.

Representatives of the marionette regime kidnapped four Georgian pupils from the village of Tirdznisi, Gori district on Wednesday. Giorgi Romelashvili, 14, Aleko Sabadze, 16, Victor Buchukuri, 16 and Levan Khmiadashvili, 17, were lost from nearby territories of the village of Tirdznisi in the afternoon. The marionette regime has confirmed the fact of detention of the teenagers. They say, the Georgian teenagers are in Tskhinvali. Other details are obscure.

Reasons of the detention are not known to family members of the kids` family members as well. They are waiting for the marionettes` decision.

Dimitri Sanakoev, the head of the contemporary administration of South Ossetia considers the detention as a Russian provocation. He does not rule out that similar provocations be carried out by Russian occupants and Ossetian separatists in the future as well. Tbilisi strongly rejects the accusation by the Tskhinvali marionette regime that the Georgian children were carrying gunfire and a hand-grenade. European monitors have already launched investigation of the incident.
