International conference about the tragedy of the Circassians will be held in Tbilisi

Georgian Foundation of the Caucasus is planning to launch a series of events in April 2011, aimed at development of relations between Georgia and peoples of the North Caucasus.

"Pages of the Caucasian history of the XIX century" - international conference about the tragedy of the Circassians will be held in Tbilisi. It is also planned to present works of North Caucasian writers and artists. "Atlas of languages of the Caucasian peoples" will be published in the Georgian, Russian and English languages.

A book by Giorgi Mamulia about the struggle of the Caucasian government in exile for independence in 1921-1945 will be translated from French into Russian. The printing of a collection of works on the liberation struggle of Circassians, Vainakh and Dagestanis is also planned.
